How To A Gozleme Made
Well this beautiful product is quite simple, the trick however is in the cooking to ensure that it is not oily and greasy.
Firstly the ingredients are simple:
The Dough
- Plain Flour
- Self Raising Flour
- Salt
- Milk
- Vegetable Oil
The Fillings
- Spinach
- Fetta Cheese
- Tasty Cheese
- Cooked Loose Mince (with finely chopped onions and capsicum if you desire to tast)
- Cooked Chicken (we use breast of chicken)
- Mushrooms
- or anything else you can think of.
Firslty mixed the dough throughly until you reach a thick (but not too thick) consisency just like play dough. Then make small balls approximately 120-140grams and let them sit to prove. Then thinly roll the dough into a rectangle about 40cm x 20cm and fill with your favourite fillings on one side of the sheet. Then close the sheet and put on a hot plate turn over after about 45 seconds or when the dough has started to cook. Lightly baste the turned side with a smidgen of vegetable or sunflower oil and wait until the other side is about half cooked and then turn back over and baste this side. When one side is golden brown and crispy turn over and allow the other side to be golden brown and crispy and then take off the plate. Cut into small servings garnish with lemon and maybe some parsley and there you have a homemade gozleme just like from the House of Gozleme.
